| What was your first job?
My first job was splitting and bagging campfire wood for my family's camping resort in Maine. They paid me $1 a bag and the bags were huge burlap sacks. It was a great way to exercise, hah!
How and when did you get into the adult industry?
I had always taken nude photos of myself all through high school in Maine. It was one of my favorite hobbies and I loved to show them to people. In a way, it helped me learn to love my body and it was a massive turn-on. I moved to Los Angeles on a big private college scholarship. After working hard and being underpaid as a teacher aid in three elementary schools during college, I decided to pursue my hobby to generate side income. I got so much satisfaction out of it that I have never really stopped.
How do your friends and family feel about your decision to be an adult model?
I come from a large, fairly well-known New England family with old French/Canadian/Catholic roots. They were horrified at what I decided to do for my job (I decided to model full time after I graduated at the top of my college class in May 2012) after all of the education I received. However, they have seen how I have been handling it as a business woman and they still carry a lot of respect towards me.
Is there anybody special in your life? Or are you looking for somebody at the moment? If so, what do you look for?
I just started dating someone, but usually I'm perpetually single. I'm very picky and I need someone who does not have a lot of baggage or emotional issues. I'm not caretaker and I tend to distance myself from problematic people. So, when I do date someone, it usually goes pretty well because they are confident, smart, and they love to laugh--just like me. I prefer to date people who are also exhibitionists, but NOT people in the adult industry. Separation of church and state, haha!
If you had not joined the adult industry, what do you think you would be doing now?
Well, I was working part-time while modeling as a manuscript editor for a small printing press in Los Angeles. They did offer a job to me after I graduated; I had to decide which path to take and we know which one I took in the end. However, I left on good terms and with a lot of connections in publishing. I think I would still be doing that right now.
Do you get recognized in real life? Any funny stories?
Since I graduated and I have been shooting more, I do get spotted on occasion. Usually it's fun and rather flattering, but one time I was at a mall in Maine with my whole family doing some Christmas shopping. Three young men came up to my mother and I and asked for a photo with me. My mom was a good sport about it! It could have been awkward.
Do you prefer video or photo shoots?
I love both. To me, the concept is the most important aspect of the shoot. As for how that idea is expressed, I prefer it to be in the medium that the crew specializes in. Great photographers should always take some photos and great videographers should make videos.
Where is the most exotic location you have shot at?
I wasn't modeling, but I used to live in Cairo, Egypt. I took a lot of photos there--mostly goofy. I went to the Salton Sea recently (California) and even though it's not very far from me, it was, well, VERY exotic. What a lunar landscape!
What are your favorite and least favorite parts of your body?
I love my small boobs with large, always-erect nipples. I think it fits well with my petite body frame. There is nothing that I don't like about my body.
Who is your favorite adult star (past or present)?
Jessie Andrews really amazes me. She is only 21 and she has so many talents, businesses, and passions. I like how she is more than just a pretty girl who has some sex on camera. Her DJ-ing is always getting better and better and her jewelry line is really lovely.
What is your favorite sex toy?

Do you exercise on a regular basis? What kind?
I try to take long walks every day. I hate gyms and I refuse to use them except for their steam rooms. I practice some yoga at home after years of training, as well. Shoots are also rather physical, and I shoot a lot for my custom video business and for studios.

The Salton Sea and to Maine

I have a ball python named Azuka. He appears in a lot of my photos if you search the web!
What is the last book you read?
Dead Stars by Bruce Wagner. What an intense book!
Do you have a guilty pleasure TV show? Song?
I don't own a TV and I have no clue about TV shows or movies. Really. I listen to KCRW's Eclectic 24 station (free to anyone online) all of the time, though. I also love to have a glass of wine with dinner every day.
What is your dream car?
Audi R8 --- VROOOM !
What is your favorite alcoholic beverage?
High-end Merlot
What are your favorite brands of jeans? Shoes?
I just wear whatever fits. I really don't put thought into my fashion, sometimes to my friends' dismay. I get excited when heels are comfortable.
Do you have a hobby that would surprise most people?
I paint and I used to do it for a side income back in Maine. I also used to travel to the Middle East a lot for an adventure, but I haven't been able to go back to Egypt since the revolution.
Do you have any special talents?
I can swallow my hand. I am also always 5-15 minutes early for everything. In CA, sadly, that's a talent. I can also write very well and edit anyone else's writing.
What's your ordinary day like? A day in the life of Odette Delacroix...
Well, on a day when I'm not shooting (so usually my one day off a week), I sleep until 9am, then I walk around my neighborhood. I like going to this Russian deli and I get a bonbon there. Then I call my mom, which is something important that I try to do almost every day. I believe in naps and eating whole foods (I eat meat and everything, but I don't over-prepare it ever). I am a little bit hard of hearing, so I don't like noisy bars a lot because I can't hear what my friends are saying to me. However, I love going to art shows and to see live music. I also love going hiking around Los Angeles. I enjoy going on traditional dates, too. I like French movies and wine at night. I have a home theater that projects movies into my yard when the weather is nice, so that's a fun way to entertain! Then there is sex. I do a lot of stuff, but nothing too crazy. I work a lot, but I enjoy it!
