| What was your first job?
Like many preteen girls, my first job was as a babysitter. My first out of the house and at the workplace job was at the movie theatre when I was 16 years old.
How and when did you get into the adult industry?
Despite my spontaneous nature, I didn’t just jump into the deep end of porn hoping for the best. I had my first shoot on Halloween 2012 but I was still in school full-time and working and was not ready to give my busy schedule up until just about 2 ½ months ago, when I signed on with 101modeling.
How did you come up with your stage name?
“Jessica” has always been my bar name so It seemed a natural progression for the name to go into porn. Ryan was conceived by my agent Robert, I was looking at using a generic last name that was way over used and he helped me steer clear of that.
How do your friends and family feel about your decision to be an adult model?
My close friends that I have disclosed my new venture to are supportive and the more they see that I am truly enjoying myself they are more and more supportive. My siblings recently found out and while my brother is flipping out still, my sister is supportive despite not understanding it. Now to bite the bullet and tell my Dad so he doesn’t stumble upon something he would rather not.
What does it take to make it in a tough industry like the adult business? What important lessons have you learned so far?
The learning curve is steep in porn and even the tried and true are at a loss because of the massive changes the porn industry has been going through with free porn sites, new laws that chastise the freedoms porn once enjoyed and well, the internet in general. The beauty of this porno renovation? The people in porn are mostly here because they enjoy it now, the money is not as great as it once was. The land of porn is fickle, get your rocks off and enjoy it for what it is and use it as a tool to get yourself somewhere, don’t be stagnant and get caught with your pants down, unless you want to ;)
Is there anybody special in your life? Or are you looking for somebody at the moment? If so, what do you look for?
No special someone right now and not actively searching, there may be someone that is peaking my interest but I am not about to rush in. As far as relationships are concerned my priority is independence, I am very much so a cat-like minded person, If I want affection I will ask for it, if not and you try to demand it you just might get the claws.
If you had not joined the adult industry, what do you think you would be doing now?
I would still be doing deep tissue massage out of a chiropractic office and enjoying life in a very vanilla sort of way. Working towards my kinesiology bachelors and ultimately to be a physical therapist.
Do you get recognized in real life? Any funny stories?
I had an awkward moment when I dropped by a Walmart to pick up cleaning supplies for me new place right after my first scene for Naughty America came out. I was wandering the cleaning aisles picking up odds and ends and couldn’t help but notice a group of three college aged boys staring and debating my identity. I walked by and overheard a portion of the debate of whether or not I was someone. I didn’t stick around to find out, vulnerability is not an ideal place for me.
Do you prefer video or photo shoots?
I like the combination of the two, stills you get to be all glammed up and portray the energy while on video you get to hear as well and the energy is much more fluid and natural vs. the snap, new pose, snap, new pose.
Where is the most exotic location you have shot at?
Nothing too crazy as of yet, I did fly out to Florida for a month to shoot. I would love to hit Europe up and shoot, perhaps tap into my German and British roots a bit. I am addicted to accents and will purposely ask a million questions just to hear someone speak.
What are your favorite and least favorite parts of your body?
That is a hard one, I love my eyes and have fun playing with makeup on them. I wish my legs were a little bit longer for the sake of driving stick or riding a motorcycle. While I love being porn sized (all of 5’3” tall) it gets in the way of riding a tall dirt bike because I hate one footing it.
Who is your favorite adult star (past or present)?
Insert my confession here, before porn I didn’t watch much of it. If I did I simply looked for group scenes ( a girl can have her fantasies!) Now that I am in porn I have started to develop a more discerned taste and I love Sasha Grey’s dirty talk, my girl Kelly Wells and her raw sexual energy that she brought to the scene and I am still trying to find the girl that is the show stopper physically speaking, so hard to decide because there are so many stunners in the industry.
What is your favorite sex toy?
My brain! I am not just speaking of imagination while rubbing my pussy or holding a vibrator against my clit. Staying mentally engaged in sex and attentive to my tender bits while they are being played with makes all the difference between good sex and great sex. Your partner can be brilliant but if you are not in the game it doesn’t matter, you have to get yourself there too.
Do you exercise on a regular basis? What kind?
I was getting into heavy lifting for a while and took a break because of life’s demands. I am now picking up the more light hearted things such as Pilates and zumba, I do not think I need to try and pick a car up anytime soon.
Where did you go on your last vacation (not work related)?
Back out to Arizona to see family and friends, soon I am going to plan a road trip destination unknown so far.
Do you have any pets?
Sadly, no. I had two loving cats but I am horribly allergic to cats and left them with a good friend of mine.
What is the last book you read?
Haha, I swear sex is not the only thing on my mind! Sex at Dawn, an intriguing read.
Do you have a guilty pleasure TV show? Song?
Guilty pleasures….I do not watch too much television beyond shows like Game of Thrones and music I am just all over the place. I suppose not everyone would like to admit loving Miley Ray Cyrus, not that I love her albums but I enjoy her song “ can’t be tamed”, it’s a song that is a personal anthem as well as for most women today I imagine.
What is your dream car?
A stingray corvette, not too sure what year, I just want to make sweet love on the hood after getting my adrenaline revved up with the engine.
What is your favorite alcoholic beverage?
Ciroc Vodka and cranberry juice!
What are your favorite brands of jeans? Shoes?
Hahaha, whatever fits and looks good. I am very anti-brand, I am not paying someone top dollar to advertise for their business. The ideal that pushes people to even name themselves after brands is beyond me, show me the money!
Do you have a hobby that would surprise most people?
Beyond knowing most of the muscles in the body and their names, I enjoy reading about history and philosophy. I would dig going to a museum all day, any day over getting hammered at a club (wine tasting might be a different story though).
What is something about you that not too many people know?
That’s kinda like the last question, right? If you haven’t noticed by now, I am a ball buster ;)
Do you have any special talents?
A great vocab and memory, and a decent enough attention span when applied I can pick up on new talents quickly. Hence only being in porn for 2 ½ months and not as your classic barely legal age.
What's your ordinary day like? A day in the life of Jessica Ryan...
Depends on the day! I really do not have a typical day as of recent, before porn it used to be : wake up at 5 am, go to the gym, shower and eat, drive to school, eat, drive to work, eat, and drive home. Can you blame me for not keeping it so tightly wound?
