For most people, when they think of the first time they saw a naked model it was in the pages of Playboy. We here at Barelist are no different. Although we see a ton of nude models every day, we still remember our favorite Playmates and hold them to a higher standard in our minds. Below is a list of our five favorite Playmates from over the years. Some have gone on to be mega superstars, and others are just our personal favorites. We are in our 20s, so I'm sure there are tons of Playmates from the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s that we should have included, but they really didn't mean anything to us personally. Also don't forget that Playboy has a huge collection of their classic centerfolds online, check them all out here. |
| Sara Jean Underwood | Sara Jean Underwood was the July 2006 Playmate of the Month and was later named the 2007 Playmate of the Year. She was born in Portland, Oregon and went to Oregon State University. Sara's first appearance in Playboy was in the October 2005 "The Girls of the Pac 10". Her pictoral caught Playboy's attention and she was soon a Playmate. Playboy also named her to their 25 Hottest Playboy Celebrities in March of 2008. We love her super innocent looks and think she really looks like the real girl next door.
Since being in Playboy, Sara has been in several movies including Epic Movie, The Telling and House Bunny. She has also been featured on fellow Playmate Kendra Wilkinson's reality show several times. Sara has also made the rounds on TV being a guest host on several popular shows. |

| Pamela Anderson | Pamela Anderson is the first model most people would think about when the word Playmate is mentioned. She has been on the cover of Playboy more times than any other woman in history. Pamela first graced the pages of Playboy in February 1990. Pamela was born in British Columbia Canada and was discovered at football game on the jumbotron. She soon went out to LA to pursue her modeling career. Pamela was really the first centerfold we remember from being younger, and that really means a lot.
After appearing in Playboy, Pamela's career exploded in both television and film. It seemed as if the World could not get enough of Pamela Anderson. In the early and mid 90s Pamela had huge starring roles in Baywatch and Barb Wire. In more recent years, Pamela has been on Dancing with the Stars and has made countless cameos. She now spends a lot of time working for charitable organizations like PETA. |

| Jenny McCarthy | Jenny McCarthy used Playboy as a stepping stone to an amazing career. She was picked to be the Playmate of the Month in October 1993, and was later named Playmate of the year for 1994. Soon after in 1995, Jenny was named the host of the kooky MTV dating show Singled Out. Jenny's extremely open and outgoing personality made her a hit on the show. Jenny then moved on to acting and making cameos in major motion pictures. She even had her own network sitcom show in the late 90s.
In recent years Jenny has gone to devoting her time to parenting and being an activist for the fight against autism. In 2005 her son Evan was diagnosed with autism, and Jenny has now become a major celebrity for the cause. She has written books and appeared on countless shows raising awareness. |

| Kendra Wilkinson | Kendra Wilkinson is by far my wife's favorite person on this Earth... citing their closeness in age as a factor. Kendra was first introduced to us after becoming one of Hugh Hefner's girlfriends in 2004. Hugh and Kendra first met when Kendra was hired to work at a birthday party for Hugh at the mansion. Kendra has appeared in Playboy a few times, first with the other Girls Next Door and was featured on the cover in 2010. Along with Jenny and Pamela, Kendra bridged the gap from most fans being men looking at Playboy to having loyal women fans who just love her for her personality.
Kendra today is best known as being a reality television star. In 2005, Kendra along with girlfriends Holly and Bridget were featured in E!'s widely successful The Girls Next Door. The show ran for 6 seasons and was a huge hit, with Kendra's fun loving personality making her the star of the show. After Hugh and the girlfriends decided to part ways, Kendra was offered her own reality show called Kendra. The show began in 2009 and is running strong currently. During the show Kendra married football play Hank Baskett and had her first child. |

| Karen McDougal | So Kendra is my wife's favorite, and Karen McDougal is my favorite :)
Karen was the December 1997 Playmate of the Month and also the Playmate of the Year for 1998. I guess I'm not alone on my pick, since Playboy readers named her the second sexiest playmate of the 90s in 2001. Before being in Playboy, Karen was a teacher and successful swimsuit model. To me Karen is the perfect centerfold that all others will be measured by. I still to this day judge new adult models by the standard set by her.
Since being in Playboy, Karen has done a lot of fitness modeling and has made cameos in movies and television. She was the first woman to ever be on the cover on Men's Fitness in 1999 and has been on the cover of just about every major fitness magazine as well. Karen was the co-star with fellow playmate Lisa Dergan in the film Arena in 2001, and has been on WWE, E!, The O'Reilly Factor and Joe Dirt. |
