Briana Blair is by far one of our favorite and most popular of the newer porn stars on Barelist. She exploded on to the scene in 2009, after being a dancer for the Atlanta Hawks NBA team. | What was your first job?
My first job was working at my dance studio teaching a children’s cheer/dance class. I love teaching, it is so inspiring to see kids learning new talents and getting such joy out of it. I have never been too stern, especially at 15 years old lol, so the kids always thought of me as a friend rather than teacher and would act up every now and then, but they always respected me.
How and when did you get into the adult industry?
I started in the adult industry in August of 2009. Wow how time flies! I was doing a photo shoot, shortly after I moved to LA from Atlanta, for a possible spread in Maxim magazine. It was my very first nude shoot, which it was not fully nude, but more implied. I met a woman that was an adult agent and she asked if I would be interested in shooting in the adult industry. I have always fantasized about it, been a fan of it, and wanted something to make me feel more comfortable with my sexual side. I have always been a sexual being but growing up in the south and a strict upbringing it was always repressed. I saw it as an opportunity to find myself, so I took it. I have always been an entertainer, whether it be dancing, cheering, acting, or modeling. I get to do all of these plus have great sex and share it with all of you :) I have met some wonderful people and had great experiences so far, and many more to come!
How does your family feel about your decision to be an adult model?
It was a lot to take in at first of course, but they know I am very smart and tactful. At least as tactful as you can be with having sex on camera for money lol. My parents are not liberal so we have very different views, but they encourage my own development of beliefs. I am a free-spirit with a very open mind, and like to find my own way through life rather than follow the “social norm”. My family supports any decision I make as long as I am happy, healthy, and safe.
If you had not joined the adult industry, what do you think you would be doing now?
I would probably be still dancing at different dance gigs in LA, clothes on and for very cheap rates lol. Being a professional dancer is tough. I have a degree in Marketing so I would possibly be using it, doing some type of sports marketing. I love sports and still would like to work with sports in some way. Doesn’t seem like it should be too hard, a hot adult star and sports seem to go pretty well together if I do say so myself :) I am a writer as well so possibly writing columns for different magazines. Technically I am still doing all of these things......just naked and add in some steamy on-camera sex.
Do you get recognized in real life?
Yes I do, not very often because when I’m not on camera you find me in sweats, nike dunks, and a hat. Sometimes it is either an NBA fan that remembers me as a Atlanta Hawks cheerleader or from their last cum......or one in the same :p
Do you prefer video or photo shoots?
I enjoy both. I was a model before I was an adult model so I came into the business knowing what angles were best for me, how to pose, etc. When you feel confident in what you’re doing it is always more fun. Not saying I am not confident when I shoot video but, come on, we all know some of the story lines can be a bit cheesy which makes me not feel as confident. I am also just recently getting comfortable with my acting skills, I know I know, it doesn’t take much, but I shoot mostly features which requires more acting and matching the story with sex can be difficult at times. I just wrapped my first movie starring myself for Wicked Pictures called “Protect Me From Love” and showing a true love and passion for another actor can be easy acting but throw in sex and it’s another ball game. I find it to be something I am good at, but generally speaking, it’s not so easy.
Where is the most exotic location you have shot at?
I shot in Hawaii for www.BrianaBlair.com pretty recently. We were on the big island and found some great locations right by the volcanoes and also on the black sand beaches. We pulled over on the side of the road and walked out to the volcanoes. Hoping no one would walk by we shot a super hot POV blow job scene. What are your favorite and least favorite parts of your body?
My favorite would have to be my butt and legs. Being a dancer keeps them in great shape. I also love to workout so they typically look pretty tone. I don’t like to say there is any part of my body I don’t like. At times I would like to say I do but I don’t let myself. I cherish my body and want to love every part of it. I might put certain parts on restriction for being bad but still cherish it lol. It’s the only body I will ever have, mine as well love it!
Who is your favorite adult star (past or present)?
My past will have to be Jenna Jameson. She is an adult icon, and I read her book “Make Love Like a Pornstar” before I got in the business and feel in some way it inspired me. My present favorite adult star is Jessica Drake. She is very smart, talented, and beautiful. I guess you could say that’s who I would like to model my career after.
What is your favorite sex toy?
It changes depending on my mood. If I feel like romanticizing myself a simple vibrator will do the trick, if I’m feeling dirty and slutty I want my glass butt plug and the hitachi. I want to personally thank the inventor of the hitachi.....you rock my world.
Do you exercise on a regular basis? What kind?
Yes! I love working out. Not only does it make my body feel good physically but mentally as well. When I run that is my time to think, clear my head, and brainstorm on new ideas for feature dancing, scenes for www.BrianaBlair.com and my life in general lol. I also love yoga, hiking, playing basketball, swimming, bike riding, and of course dancing!
Where did you go on your last vacation (not work related)?
My trip to Hawaii was just for vacation but always ends up work related in some way. When you’re work is sex it’s hard not to work! If I am in a beautiful place why not utilize that for some hot, dirty on-camera love making! ;)
Do you have any pets?
Yes I have a chihuahua named Carlos, he was named from the movie “The Hangover”.........”not at the table Carlos” lol. I never liked chihuahuas until I rescued Carlos. He makes me smile every day.
What is the last book you read?
I have ADD when it comes to books so I read a few at a time. I am in the middle of reading “Predictably Irrational” by Dan Ariely, “Life is Short- Wear Your Party Pants” by Loretta Laroche, and “The Secret Life of Marilyn Monroe” by J. Randy Taraborrelli.
Do you have a guilty pleasure TV show? Song?
I don’t really watch TV but I liked Weeds and also like Californication. I watch them on DVR.
What is your dream car?
I’ve always loved sports cars. I recently switched to an SUV though, and love it! I would say my dream car is a range rover.
What is your favorite alcoholic beverage?
I don’t really drink but when I do, I choose champagne!
What are your favorite brands of jeans? Shoes?
I don’t really have one particular brand I stick with but I like seven jeans. I am all over the place with shoes, I love shoes! I love nike dunks just as much as I love heels! I would definitely say nike for a sport shoe and Louis Vuitton for heels.
Do you have a hobby that would surprise most people?
I love rhinestoning! I rhinestone shoes, which I will be selling soon, shirts, hats, laptops, sunglasses, you name it. I like working on my scrapbook. I also like to make my dance costumes.
What's your ordinary day like? A day in the life of Briana Blair...
I wouldn’t exactly say any 2 days are the same. Typically on a day I am not shooting a movie I am working out, working on www.BrianaBlair.com, reading, taking dance class, booking dance jobs, looking for new costumes, and/or prepping for an upcoming movie. On shoot days I try to work out before, wash all my outfits, pack, study script, and listen to sexy music to get me in the mood for some action!
